In response to a recent visit:

"[Our son] is a very social and athletic kid - so I expected him to discuss those things [regarding his campus visit]. However, he said it's the way the classes are taught and the educational philosophy of the classes that really hooked him. He said he really liked the way students had to prepare in advance to contribute to various portions of the lesson... I was quite surprised because he is usually quite quiet in class. However, he said this type of classroom engagement energized him and really drew him in to want to learn. I wasn't prepared for him to notice that!"
