Jewish tradition has always made room for more than one perspective. Kehillah takes that seriously. In fact, it shapes how the whole school works. These values are human values first, ones that any student can live out here regardless of their religious background, and Jewish tradition is simply the lens Kehillah sees them through.
When you visit, you might hear the phrase "Unified, not uniform" often.
Every student here brings something different: a different background, a different set of interests, a different way of seeing the world. What holds us together isn’t sameness. It’s a shared commitment to a handful of everyday human values: community, the pursuit of knowledge, agency, dialogue, justice, and acts of loving-kindness—that Kehillah expresses through Jewish tradition. They’re just as welcoming to students of every background, every level of Jewish observance, and every belief.
Our students are proud of that, and share it often.
At Kehillah, Jewish learning and traditions are woven throughout the program and offered as an invitation for every student to connect and engage from their own perspectives and worldviews.
It’s one of the many things that makes our community unique, and it connects to our schoolwide commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

No. Community, the Pursuit of Knowledge, Agency, Dialogue, Justice, and Acts of Loving-kindness, Kehillah’s core values, are shared human values. While these values come to us from Jewish tradition, every student is invited into them just as they are. All student programming is offered as an invitation to explore and connect, not as a requirement of belief or practice. Every family has a place at Kehillah where their identity will be seen and supported. |
| Will my student get a strong Jewish education? |

Jewish learning is a foundation that makes Kehillah welcoming to students from every kind of background. Students are required to take 3 years of Jewish studies. The wide variety of curriculum means that every student can find topics and classes they can connect with. For students who want to deepen their connection to Judaism—culturally, spiritually, or personally—we offer robust pathways for Jewish learning and leadership, guided by knowledgeable faculty and shaped by each student’s interests and identity.
