Through guidance, care, and connection, we help students understand themselves as learners.

The Center for Learning Success at Kehillah supports students in building confidence, purpose, and personalized strategies for academic and personal growth. Our approach blends structured academic support, personalized coaching, and close partnership with teachers and families.

We believe students learn best when they are known well, supported intentionally, and challenged to grow into independent learners.

Students with documented learning needs develop a Kehillah Student Education Plan (KSEP) in partnership with families, teachers and the learning support team. The plan outlines accommodations, testing supports, and learning strategies, and is updated as student needs evolve.

KSEPs are reviewed annually and updated as needed throughout the year.

Directed Studies is a structured study block designed to strengthen students’ executive functioning skills through real academic work. Students meet three times per week to:

  • Review assignments and deadlines
  • Develop time management and organization skills
  • Complete missing or current coursework
  • Learn planning and prioritization strategies
  • Build consistent, intentional study habits

Directed Studies

Students may opt into a weekly 30-minute check-in with Center staff. These meetings help students:

  • Build consistency and accountability
  • Reflect on academic progress and workload
  • Strengthen planning and self-advocacy skills
  • Adjust strategies based on current needs

Weekly Check-Ins

The Center provides dedicated spaces on campus to support focus and access:

  • A quiet, structured environment for studying during open blocks
  • A small-group testing space for students with approved accommodations or make-up exams
