THROUGH TRAINING

Kehillah's Teaching Assistant (TA) Program offers advanced students the opportunity to deepen their learning by helping others learn. Designed for students who have demonstrated mastery in a subject area, the program develops leadership, communication, collaboration, and teaching skills while reinforcing content knowledge.

Working alongside a faculty mentor, TAs help support classroom learning, prepare instructional materials, answer questions, and provide additional guidance to students. Many TAs also have the opportunity to design learning experiences, lead activities, and contribute to curriculum development.

Far more than a study hall or helper role, the TA Program challenges students to engage with a subject from a new perspective: that of a teacher. Through mentorship, responsibility, and service to their peers, TAs develop a deeper understanding of both the material and the learning process itself.
